District 47's Elevate program recognizes employees who uphold and exemplify the district's mission, vision, and core values and who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of students, schools, and the community. For the Winter Elevate Award, we received 35 nominations.

Hope Squad seventh- and eighth-grade students from all three District 47 middle schools recently participated in an Active Listening Workshop at the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department. The workshop, led by professionals trained in crisis negotiation and peer support, taught students how to truly listen; not just to words, but to the meaning and feelings behind them.

Crystal Lake District 47’s own Trevor Keegan is set to attend the biggest game of his life this weekend. The District 47 alumnus, who attended Glacier Ridge Elementary and Bernotas Middle School, is a left guard (#79) for the Philadelphia Eagles who are in this year’s Super Bowl.
