Kristina Wooden Honored by IGSMA
District 47 is proud to celebrate Kristina Wooden, recipient of the 2025 Cloyd Meyers Memorial Award from the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA). This award is presented to an individual who has consistently demonstrated educational excellence in IGSMA activities.
Kristina has spent 28 years inspiring young musicians, mentoring fellow teachers, and fostering a welcoming “band family” where students grow both musically and personally.
Her dedication extends beyond our schools as well—serving as an adjudicator and as a member of the IGSMA Executive Board, where she continues to strengthen music education across Illinois. We are thrilled to honor her remarkable career and lasting impact on our students and community.
