Sports registrations and communication from coaches will take place exclusively through ParentSquare. We will no longer use Snap! Manage (8to18).

Current RBMS clubs and activities are listed below. New clubs may be added as the year progresses, so check back for updates. Activity buses are available on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday only. They leave school at 4:15 p.m. Students can pick up a route sheet in the office.

10th Inning Study Hall: Available in the Library media center so students are able to complete homework, engage in research, or use a quiet place to study under supervision. This is not a social club, please remind your students to be using that time to work and catch up on things.
Monday/Tuesday/Thursday: ends at 4:15pm
Wednesday/Friday: ends at 3:00pm
Art Club: Meets every Thursday from 2:15pm-4:00pm. First meeting is 9/18. Art Club is an open studio where artists work on their own projects in the art room. There is a sign-up sheet outside of the art room. Contact: Mrs. Plunkett
Chess Club: Meets every Monday, Room 8 from 2:20pm-3:00pm. Google classroom code: pod4k63. Have you ever wanted to learn how to play Chess? Do you know how to play Chess? Do you want to see how quickly you can beat your opponent? Whether you are an expert player or you have never played Chess before please join us. Contact: Mrs. Bouchard
Crochet Club - First meeting is 9/30. Tuesdays 2:20-3:30 in Room 6 with Ms. Rosenbloom. Google classroom code: ulicdwrw.
Auditioned Choir - Thursday/Monday- Begins 9/15/25. Anyone interested in joining Choir, sign up sheets are outside Mr. Prices room. (room 39). Choir is open to anyone in 6th, 7th or 8th grade.
Dungeons & Dragons Club: Meets in Room 23. The club meets every Monday from 2:30-3:30. Dungeons & Dragons Club is a safe place to join adventures and collaborate with peers. Typically, one player takes on the role of Dungeon Master (DM) while the others each control a single character, representing an individual in a fictional setting. This age old game allows for various students to connect with peers through their imagination. Contact: Ms. O'Hara
Environmental Awareness Club: Meets in Room B8. Meets every Thursday from 2:15pm-3:00pm. First meeting is 9/18. Come discuss global environmental issues and ways to make our school a more environmentally friendly place! We will also create projects to educate all other students on becoming more ecologically sensitive and better Earth citizens. Meetings go till April 2025. Contact: Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Apostol
Fishing Club - Meets Tuesdays. Contact Mr. Price or Mrs. Woods. Join Google Classroom with code: gnybjviq. Any 6,7,8 Grade student. If you love fishing or have never fished in your life, join us for a fun time by the water.
Hope Squad: Every 1st and 3rd Monday. First meeting will be 9/15. 2:15-4:00pm. Peer nominated group of students are trained on how to recognize warning signs of suicide in peers, talk to struggling peers, and help connect peers to trusted adults in the school. Hope squad members also bring suicide prevention awareness to the school during Hope Week.

International Snack Club - Last Thursday of each month (October 30th). 2:15-4:00PM. RM 37. All aboard, world travelers! Come try some international snacks while you learn about a country's history and culture. Also reach out to Mrs. Stevens if you or a family member would be interested in sharing about your culture for a meeting!
Lego Club: Love Legos? Then this is the club for you! Meet in my room B4. with Mrs. Larson. From 2:15 - 3:15 to create with my Legos or your own. This is a free club for all students. Meets every Monday.
Newsletter Club: Meets Mondays and Thursdays in room 10. Electronic School Paper. All students are welcome to participate! Contact Mrs. Trninic. Use google classroom code ylhnbjix
NJHS - Next mandatory meeting November 18th, after school. B1. See the Google Classroom for other dates throughout the year. NJHS is for 7th and 8th grade accepted members only and is an honors/service organization. This is a great way to develop leadership skills in your school and community, while helping others. Applications for this year are closed. Current members, please check the Google Classroom for mandatory meeting dates. Nintendo Switch Club: Meets in Room B9. Second and Fourth Thursday of each month (October 23rd) Make new friends while playing your favorite games! In this club, students must bring their Nintendo Switch systms and games to play games with each other! Make sure your full name (First Name and Last Name) are on your games and console. Please bring your Nintendo Switch to room B9 on Thursday mornings so they can be locked in the classroom cabinet during the day. Nintendo Switch systems will NOT be provided. Some games could include: Mario Kart, Mario Party, Minecraft, and more! Contact: Ms. Sorenson
Pokemon Club: Every other Wednesday. 2:30-3:30. Students looking for a fun opportunity to compete, flex their strategy and reasoning skills, and dive into the wonderful world of Pokémon are in for a treat. After-School Pokémon Clubs will meet once per month for an hour. Rm. 23. Bring your Pokémon cards and Chromebook. Nintendo Switches and phones are allowed. Contact Ms. O'Hara
Tri-M Honor Society: National Music Honor Society for accepted members in 7th/8th grade. Meets 1st Friday of each month in Room 41, Next Meeting: Next meeting is November 7th from 2:20pm - 3:00pm. Contact: Mr. LoPresto and Mrs. Wooden
Rock Band club - Meets every Tuesday in B8 from 2:15pm - 3:00pm. Come and jam with schoolmates! Or, just come to talk about your favorite song with club mates. Even if you don't play, you may still join! Contact Mr. Apostol rapostol@d47.org with any questions.
Running Club - We run Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays year round. These are off campus road runs. We will also run in local 5k’s which is open to anyone as well. Permission slips are required for the club and can be picked up from my room (9) or found in our google classroom. Contact Mrs. Wetzel.

VHA-Viking Human Alliance: Next meeting is: December 9th. meets in room 33. Creating an inclusive community for ALL students. Contact Ms. Edwards or Ms. Geib
Viking Buddies - Meeting dates: 11/6, 12/4, 1/8, 2/6, 3/6, 4/3, 5/7. Meets in Room 12. Contact Ms. Frey, Ms. Popp, or Ms. Flynn.
Viking Council: 2nd and 4th Mondays. Tuesday, November 10th and Tuesday, December 8th. Meets from 2:20-3:00pm. The Viking council helps share ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and administration. It also helps raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events, community support, helping people in need and school projects. Meets in Room 20. Viking Mentors (8th Grade): 2nd/3rd Thursdays monthly. in Room 21 from 2:20pm - 3:00pm. Viking Mentors is a pre-selected group of student leaders who provide activities for 6th grader and other Vikings throughout the year. Mentors are selected in Spring of their 7th grade year.
